UL Approval
The UL Mark, provided by Underwriters Laboratories, is the most widely recognized symbol in the US for electrical devices. Products bearing the UL mark indicate that a manufacturer has taken the initiative to have a technically competent third party testing facility to perform a variety of product safety tests according to recognized standards. Manufacturers voluntarily submit their devices to a team of engineers who are specialists in product safety standards at one of the UL facilities. Products bearing the UL mark have undergone this testing process and have achieved the mark according to a particular UL standard. Periodic on-site checks performed by UL, assure that a manufacturer maintains a high level of quality and performance standards. For the consumer, the mark provides a level of confidence, demonstrating that the products have been tested and comply with all relevant safety standards in accordance with the use of that particular product.
