Asahi/America., Inc., a leading manufacturer of engineered, thermoplastic fluid handling systems, announces the introduction of FloSonex , an expanded line of thermoplastic Ultrasonic Vortex Flow Meters in sizes from 1/2" to 3". FloSonex is specifically designed for wet bench applications, but is also ideal for use in chemical distribution systems. FloSonex can handle aggressive chemical applications that are beyond the capabilities of other ultrasonic meters, making it ideal for use in these industries.
FloSonex features a unique electronic signal processing system that allows the customer to handle a higher percentage of bubble in the fluid. This feature enables the product line to penetrate many chemical markets in which ultrasonic technology has not been successfully utilized. The flow meters offer a faster response time and the ability to handle rapid changes in temperature without getting erratic or erroneous signals. FloSonex also features a higher turndown ratio of 25:1, enabling lower flow rates to be achieved. The flow meters provide an output signal of 4-20 mA, and their accuracy and repeatability are 0.75% and 0.25%, consecutively.
FloSonex brand is the only vortex flow meter with replaceable sensors mounted externally to the flow body. The position of the sensors allows maintenance and repairs without ever having to remove the meter of line, thus ensuring that contaminates do not enter the flow. External sensors reduce internal components by 50%, improving system purity and increasing low flow reading capabilities and temperature ranges.
Asahi/America, Inc. specializes in high purity thermoplastic fluid handling products, including pipes and fittings, valves, actuators, controls and flow instrumentation. The company maintains an extensive custom fabrication department, and provides on-site consultation, supervision and training where required.
