Asahi/America, Inc., the Wet Process People™, introduces the new Air-Pro™ Compressed Air Piping System. Designed specifically for compressed air applications, the Air-Pro is a safe, reliable system, offering fast, low cost and flexible installation.
The Air-Pro can handle an operating pressure of 230 psi, with a safety factor of 5. The system is composed of Solvay Eltex TUB 124 blue high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resin, which is extremely ductile and offers numerous benefits over metal. Advantages of the Air-Pro's thermoplastic construction include lightweight design, minimal system pressure drop and corrosion resistance. Additionally, Asahi/America's Air-Pro is chemically resistant to synthetic oils and mineral oils given off by compressors.
"The Air-Pro System has been extensively tested in compressed air applications and time after time, it has proven to be a safe, worry-free system offering all the advantages of thermoplastic construction," states Asahi/America Vice President of Engineered Products, Scott Robichaud.
Color-coded blue for easy identification of compressed air lines, the Air-Pro comes equipped with transition fittings, stub ends and backing rings for flanging. The Air-Pro System is joined through socket-fusion.
